Fisher, Australian Capital Territory

Upside:
1. No pets, just occasional watering in summer for the drought resistant garden.
2. Built on a slope with stair lift access to the front door.
3. Modern security system.
4. Quiet leafy suburb with a lot of privacy (eg. row of pine trees along the front).
5. Native animals have made the garden their home (eg. birds, possums and a lizard)
Downside:
1. History of loose fill asbestos insulation that was removed around 1990 but may have left residual dust in the wall cavities. Home is regulated for safety (eg. 2-year dust inspections and a management plan for visitors to read).
2. Suitable for female sitter because no evidence of asbestos related disease among women who have lived in these homes for more than 50 years.
3. This home will eventually be demolished by government policy, but not for a few more years.
