Gwandalan, New South Wales

We are looking for a housesitter to look after our border collie, Buddy in Sept/Oct.

We live at the top of the Central Coast on Lake Macquarie. The house is a modern two-storey home with a large private peaceful back garden (700 m2 block). The street is quiet and safe due to not being a thoroughfare for other streets. Neighbours have security cameras. The suburb has the usual shops and mini supermarkets (Foodworks/Spar). Also a bowling club. You have everything without going out of the suburb if you don't want to. The nearest large shopping centre is 20 minutes away (Lake Haven) with a cinema, etc. The nearest Woolworths/Coles is 10-minutes' drive.

The lake is 8 minutes walk. Beaches are close by and the Munmorah State National Park. Within 15 minutes you have beautiful Catherine Hill Bay, Lake Munmorah and Budgewoi. To help with orientation, we are about 50 minutes from Newcastle towards Sydney. The closest train is Wyee, 15 minutes' drive.

Buddy is a 13-year old border collie. We walk him daily for about 20 minutes. He is low maintenance with walking and keeping entertained (no medication required). As there is a dog door, Buddy comes inside when he wants to. He is fed twice a day, morning and late afternoon/evening. This gives you lots of time to explore this beautiful part of the world.

Buddy is hesitant/anxious at first but loves a pat when he gets to know you. A healthy pooch for his age, who likes company but is independent (he does his own thing), doesn't bark much and likes his food. Does react to fireworks and storms - races around the backyard :-)

We are seeking a reliable experienced house sitter (single or couple) that has endorsements on their profile and is willing to walk Buddy. Buddy slows down when he wants to return home.
