Batchelor (near Litchfield National Park), Northern Territory

Please note - you need a car to get to Batchelor. However it is a sealed road and accessible with a 2WD. This sit is also in the build up season, its not as busy as the dry and so it is harder to find sitters. I understand emergencies can happen but please make sure you are able to commit to the dates before applying. Last minute cancellations are hard to replace in October.

Elevated home in Batchelor on the edge of Litchfield National Park (full of waterfalls to swim in and walk around). The home office has a lovely view, with birds often feeding in the trees that line the window. Fully air-conditioned. There are outdoor seating areas under the house, on the deck, or you can chill out in the hammock and spa. The house has large tropical gardens and gated driveway. There is one bedroom with the spare room set up as a gym.


Lovely pub within walking distance that does great food and public outdoor swimming pool near by. The local butterfly farm also serves food and has animals for guests to interact with. The closest large supermarket is Coolalinga 40 mins away.

Free stay in return for walking and feeding my wolfhound Rusty. He is very very friendly. He doesn't need to be walked too far. Once a day is fine. He's getting his grey hairs and so has slowed down a bit, although he can get very excited when he first leaves the house and can pull on the lead a bit. There are lots if parklands and tracks you can walk through. Also there are some pot plants which need watering & there is a small swimming pool due to be installed in June which may also need some care.

I have a large driveway that can fit a caravan, but your car would be parked in the driveway way outside of the gate. Motor homes fit inside also.

There will be fridge space and a draw in the freezer for you to use, but unfortunately no wardrobe space - but you can use the gym/ spare room for extra storage. I do not share the house with house sitters so you would have to arrive on my departure day and leave on my return. If you are passing through the area ahead of your stay I can show you around. If not we can do it on the day.
