Ivanhoe, Victoria

UPDATE: Housesitter pending for now.

Dates and duration are both FLEXIBLE . I am planning to travel to Europe for an couple of months, and need to find someone suitable to stay with a housemate I support. There are no strict duties, but you need to stay in the house each night. Working from home would be ideal, but not essential. There are no pets to look after.

First some limitations: preferably a solo sitter, a couple only if you are happy with a small space. Also - you cannot bring your pets, sorry... If that is you, read on:

Quiet leafy street in Ivanhoe, with an older but comfortable home. You will get a separate extension at the back of the house, as you see in the photo. There is a driveway and carport, but suitable only for a small car.
In return you will need to stay for the agreed period as an assurance for the elderly home owner who lives in the front part of the house. He is independent so no care support is required, other than being present at night to heat up his dinner in the microwave. The main rule is to sleep in the flat at the back each night, in case he needs help - this is rare, last year only needed 3 times. If you need to be away for a night, or even two, you can notify the family as early as you can, and they will organise someone to stay.
Gardening is not required, as there is a regular gardener, but if you wish to grow some vegetables or plants it is possible. Read more...
