4 week+ rural house sit plus 1 cat and 1 dog mid Feb to mid March near Chatellerault, Vienne, France

Responsible couple or single, mature with some experience and references. Must have experience of, and like, cats and dogs, though we only have one of each. Someone who is reasonably good in the garden would be preferable. Essentially to look after the animals instead of putting them in cattery, etc. We have 1 dog, Riga and 1 cat,Roquette (Rocky). Riga would appreciate a walk once a day. Depending on the weather a grass cut (ride on mower) might be needed, but given the season the garden should look after itself. The house is a converted farmhouse with a few neighbours, set in open, rolling countryside. It is very tranquil. The area is good for walking and cycling. We are about 15 mins SE of Chatellerault, the nearest large town. There are a number of tourist sites nearby, details available from the Chatellerault tourist office website. We are also about 40 minutes from the University city of Poitiers If you're looking for a bit of night life this is not the place for you. However if you want 4 weeks or so of countryside tranquillity then it is ideal. Although there is a shop in the village 10 mins walk away you will need a car to get anywhere, as there is no public transport nearby. The start date might change by 2 or 3 days but not more. No, sorry.
