May 2027 - Dog sitter needed

We have lived in Ballinger since 2004 and have two daughters — one at university and the other now living and working in London. We’re a dog-loving family; having grown up with a Golden Retriever, it felt only natural to have one of our own. Maisie will be nine in May. Although Simon and I are both still working, we’ve recently embraced the empty-nest stage and have started to travel a little more thus needing the housesitmatch services.
Our home is an 18th century cottage which has been modernised over the years - we have a fully secured back garden overlooking paddocks and the Chiltern Hills. We very much see our home becoming your home for your stay and we would want you to be comfortable. The bedroom you will use is at the front at the house, sunny in the mornings and you will have use of a separate bathroom and shower room. Downstairs there is a study and snug/tv room again located at the front of the house, whilst the kitchen diner overlooks the back garden. We have plenty of outdoor furniture and sun loungers for use and in the garden room is a peleton and gym equipment for your use.
We have fully functioning wifi and access to Sky / Netflix etc.
Maisie needs at least 1-1.5 hours a day - ideally a longer walk in the morning and then 40 minutes in the evening, we are happy for her to be walked on the lead to avoid any concerns about her disappearing to find rabbits! Living in the Chiltern Hills there are so many different walks to choose from and within 20 minutes you can be either at the local shop or the local pub. She is fed twice a day around 7am and 5pm. She is a healthy and friendly dog and whilst will bark when excited or needing something, but on the whole is a loving, caring family dog.

We live on a lane within a small village, surrounded by the Chiltern hills. Our home is a late 18th century cottage that was originally a pub that has been modernised with a large open plan kitchen, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We have a fully secured back garden overlooking paddocks and rolling hills.
