Green Galicia with its Celtic vibe

We think our beautiful home is best suited to a practical, fit and capable person or couple. Naturally kind and resourceful individuals,  who have initiative and love animals. Knowledge of animal health in horses and domestic animals is required. Lovers of peace and quiet, nature and what it means to live in the country Understanding some Spanish is a big advantage but not essential Be team players and good communicators with us, our neighbours and friends They should enjoy their own company and that of their partner as this is a very rural environment. Enjoy dealing with the day-to-day challenges of a small farm and have a good level of fitness is a big advantage. We are considering having regular sitters including hosting for longer periods of time. Please feel free to discuss/ask questions. You will have full responsibility for 4 horses, 2 dogs and 4 cats. There is no expectation of sitters to ride but certainly have a high level of experience in caring for horses and pets. We can discuss horses during first contact. If on a long term sit (preferred) then the usual house maintenance/cleaning and communicating with us when there is an issue to be dealt with. We are fully experienced in hosting house sitters as are our animals! The farm house is in a small hamlet slightly set aside and detached. It’s is 5 mins to the nearest village which has all the usual facilities such as food shops, hardware store, car mechanics, bars and restaurants. The large town of Monforte de Lemos is 25 minutes away which has virtually everything you could need or want. The views from the house, especially from the terrace, are stunning and over look the town of Monforte and the mountains in the distance. The region boosts some of best wines in Spain from the Ribeira Sacra and you can access the Rio Mino in just 20 minutes from the house to enjoy water activities or just the wonderful views. (See photos of A Cova and Maiorga where we enjoying swimming). There is a reason why Galicia is greener than most of Spain! Being in NW of the peninsula and sticking up and into the Atlantic we get a larger share of rain than the rest of Spain throughout Autumn and Winter particularly. However it’s not very cold and the summers can be hot and are are certainly dry. No, sorry.
