House/dog-sit near Shaftesbury

As Fanny is a rescue dog, we never feel comfortable putting her into kennels and prefer her to be kept in her usual routine. She needs a walk each day and company. Walking our dog and feeding her. She is used to being left for a few hours, so sitters would be able to explore the area. Our house was built in the early 18th century and is part of the original centre of the village of Motcombe, close to Shaftesbury. Originally two cottages it has been significantly updated, although retains a number of original features. The village has a bus service, a shop/post office and coffee shop. There are beautiful walks from the house and lots of picturesque villages to explore nearby. We do not have private parking, but there is plenty of on-road parking very close by. No, sorry.
